Biddulph Male Voice Choir – New Choristers are most welcome
This is a great time to come and join the choir. We meet every Wednesday evening at Biddulph High School at 7pm. Why not come along and meet us.
Do I need to be able to read music?
It's a question we are often asked. The answer is no.
Some of our choristers can read music, many of us have some knowledge of how to read a score, but it has generally been learned after years singing with choirs. Our Music Director Anthony will often take time to explain musical notation to us, so we all learn as we sing. This is your opportunity to expand your knowledge and learn about music, as well as having a good time.
Like most male voice choirs in concert we sing from memory without sheet music.
Will I have to have an audition?
No, but after having attended for some weeks, you may be asked to sing something of your choice, or a few scales, privately with Anthony or Wendy our principal accompanist, just to check that you are singing in the right section.
So come along and find out for yourself how fantastic it is to be part of this wonderful choir.
